A road trip along the Highway 395
It is hard to know where to start. I could talk about Kristine and Kyle and how much fun we had hanging out during their engagement session in the Eastern Sierra. Or about the beautiful sceneries that go from Tahoe to Alabama Hills along the 395. I could talk about our low key, yet perfect dinner we had talking casually about life. What about when Kristine surprised Kyle for her “proposal”? Seeing him burst into tears was definitely a highlight of their emotional engagement session in the Eastern Sierra. It might be hard to know where to start but what really stood out was how much fun we had hanging out in this beautiful part of California.
From Tahoe to Alabama Hills; from Bodie’s ghost town to views on eerie Mono lake; the ‘quieter side of California’ along Highway 395 offers plenty of spectacular locations and I believe we enjoyed a few. Have you ever wanted to take more than two hours for your engagement session? Maybe a full afternoon like during some of my adventure sessions. Maybe a trip to Iceland? Or just a road trip in one of the most stunning states in the USA? That’s what Kristine and Kyle decided to do with me and I could not be happier. We took all the time we wanted, when we wanted and where we wanted. My advice, if you can; take more time and make it a weekend!
The mountain for their engagement session in the Eastern Sierra
California has stolen my heart since I moved here. I have hundreds of places I want to check and the Eastern Sierra was really high on my list. I actually had the pleasure to go another time with my wife. Despite the stunning beauty of this spot, relatively few couples ask me to go there! But honestly, there there is much to see, shoot and enjoy. Probably the most visited spot in the area is the rightfully famous Yosemite National Park (which is one of my favorite spots to shoot). But beyond the gorgeous park, there are true gems all along the US395 that I’m still dying to shoot like Alabama Hills, Mammoth Lakes, etc. I’m stoked that we had such a beautiful playground in this part of California to celebrate Kristine and Kyle love.
