I’m Sebastien Bicard, a Paris born photographer with a documentary approach and an editorial eye. I photograph weddings and elopements in Paris for couples who care about emotion, atmosphere, and honest storytelling. You get images that look refined, but still feel real.

My approach in Paris
I work with two priorities.
First, I document the day as it happens. The nerves before you step out. The way your hands find each other. The small moments you will forget and later be grateful to see.
Second, I create portraits that look effortless. That does not mean stiff posing. It means I guide you in a way that feels natural, using light and composition to make the images feel timeless.
You do not need to perform for the camera. You just need a photographer who knows when to step in and when to disappear.

There is the Paris people imagine, and the Paris that works on a wedding day. Here are a few areas that consistently photograph well, depending on timing and season:

HOW TO GET MARRIED IN FRANCE
if you’re American, British or from anywhere else
It does take a bit of effort and preparation on your end, as you will read below. Most couples eloping in Paris choose to complete the official process in their home countries rather than fussing with administrative paperwork in France (we’re excellent at overcomplicating administrative processes). Then after they’re legally married in their country of residence, (or before, I’m no one to judge!), they plan a celebratory ceremony (intimate, small or large) somewhere amazing in Paris. This is where I can help you craft the most memorable day with a timeline, video calls, vendor lists, inspiration boards, and more.
To get legally married in France, you must meet a few rigorous requirements. The first is to have one spouse residing in the same city as where you would like to elope for at least one month. You will be asked to bring a certificate that proves your living situation at the city hall. The civil officers can ask for an interview for more details. In addition, if you are a foreigner, your birth certificate needs to be translated and legalized (apostille) to be accepted.
Finally, the official ceremony must happen at the city hall where your file was submitted; not in a church, or outdoors, or in a park; it has to be city hall. So yeah, to save yourself the hassle and headache, I highly recommend completing the legal/official documentation process of your wedding in your home country and planning for a fun and festive celebration in the most beautiful city in the world.

How do we book you?
If my style and approach feel right for you, send a message through the contact form and let’s talk. Dates are officially secured once the contract is signed digitally and the invoice is paid online. Most couples book anywhere from a few months to around 18 months ahead.

How much coverage do we need in Paris?
Most weddings work best with 8 to 10 hours if you want a full story. Elopements often need 2 to 4 hours depending on locations and pace.

Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding photo sessions?
Absolutely. Every couple has their own rhythm, their own way of loving. My job is to step into that world, understand it, and photograph it as it unfolds. Real gestures, real emotion, real chemistry. The kind of images that bring you right back to the day, exactly as it was.

Do you work in English?
Yes. I work in English and French and I regularly photograph international couples.

Can you help with timeline and planning?
Yes. I will tell you what is realistic and what is not. The goal is a day that feels good, not a checklist.
