San Francisco City Hall Wedding – Marisa and Elliott’s Intimate Day
Well, I kind of can’t believe I haven’t published a blog about San Francisco City Hall yet! Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to shoot dozens of amazing weddings in this historic building. And each one has been gorgeous and unique: from small family affairs, to stylishly chic celebrations. It was hard to pick just one to feature today, but I’m stoked to show you some highlights of Marisa and Elliott’s big day! Scroll down to see some of their photos, or to read more of their story. Enjoy!
Happy Places and San Francisco City Hall Wedding!
If you look through my Instagram feed, blog posts, or online galleries, you’ll probably see some reoccurring themes in my photography. I love people. I love nature. I love Northern California. I love the Bay Area. I love couples in love. I love natural light. The list goes on…
However, it is pretty obvious that some of my favorite places to shoot are out in epic landscapes like Point Reyes, Joshua Tree, or Yosemite. But today I’m going to let you in on a little secret: I’m a city boy. As much as I LOVE getting outdoors, I really love the energy and vibe of big cities and urban environments. That’s one of the reasons I’m a huge fan of San Francisco City Hall Weddings. I just can’t get over the beautiful architecture and diffused light in the building – and more often than not, it’s a small, intimate gathering followed by an inevitably delicious reception in one of the City’s fantastic restaurants. Love love love these types of celebrations!
Urban Legends
A true City couple after my own heart, Marisa and Elliott planned their intimate San Francisco wedding for the City Hall. After I had a fun, urban engagement session with them earlier this year, I couldn’t wait to see the cool style of their wedding. And WOW, they didn’t disappoint!
Marisa described the style: “It will be small, elegant and romantic. You’ll be taken back in time with an old Hollywood feel.” The bride and groom got ready in the Omni Hotel, before taking an antique car to their ceremony in the San Francisco City Hall on the fabulously beautiful Mayor’s Balcony. And later they celebrated in style at the cozy, vintage Wayfare Tavern. It was such a great day filled with delightful connections and glamorous shots of these newlyweds!
Positive Vibes
I think they were pretty excited about the results too. In their own kind words: “We are so happy with not only how the photos turned out (amazing!!!!), but how the overall experience went. It was so easy working with you from start to finish. It was the best decision to work with you! We’re overjoyed! Ecstatic and reliving this perfect day alllll over again”
Thanks so much for trusting me with your big day guys!
