Klara & Sean’s Refined San Francisco Wedding at City Hall
Klara and Sean’s story began with a picnic at Fort Mason—wine, charcuterie, and an accidental five-hour first date that ended in a double feature neither of them watched. That mix of effortless chemistry and intentional gestures would go on to define their relationship, and ultimately, inspire their refined San Francisco wedding, a celebration that combined personal storytelling with elevated design.
This wasn’t a quiet elopement or a casual city affair. It was a weekend-long expression of joy, depth, and modern elegance, brought to life with warmth and intention.

A White Party on the Water: The Rehearsal Dinner
The celebration began the night before with a rehearsal dinner aboard a private yacht. Guests were invited to wear white, an inspired choice that added an extra layer of visual harmony against the blues of the Bay and the skyline of San Francisco. Laughter echoed over the water, champagne flowed freely, and the sense of anticipation was palpable.
It wasn’t just a rehearsal. It was an experience: one that let their closest people feel how much thought and intention had gone into this weekend.
Getting Ready at the Intercontinental: Layers of Anticipation
On the morning of the wedding, Klara and Sean got ready at the Intercontinental Hotel, each in separate suites surrounded by friends and family. Klara slipped into her form-fitting Berta gown. Sleek, feminine, and full of intention. Sean buttoned up a tailored black suit, sharp and modern, finishing the look with bold Christian Louboutin shoes.
Even in the quiet moments, there was a steady undercurrent of anticipation. Something unforgettable was about to unfold.
A Grand First Look & Ceremony at San Francisco City Hall
Just before the ceremony, Klara and Sean shared their first look outside the towering columns of San Francisco City Hall. As Sean turned to see Klara, his face lit up instantly. In that moment, the buzz of the city fell away. It was only them—Boom and Bam—caught in a private, electric pause before everything officially began.
Soon after, guests filled the iconic rotunda. The sweeping staircase, golden light, and grand architecture set the tone for what followed. City Hall didn’t just serve as a backdrop, it elevated the entire experience. Their refined San Francisco wedding unfolded with intention. Though the ceremony followed a traditional format, every element felt personal and carefully chosen. Nothing was random. Everything mattered.
We took full advantage of City Hall’s natural light—roaming its marble halls, pausing for portraits, then slipping outside for softly lit shots. What stood out wasn’t how they looked, but how they moved together—close, unfiltered, and fully present. Each glance and touch spoke volumes.
Reception: Toasts, Dancing, and a Celebration with Soul
The reception continued the theme of refinement without formality. Guests dined indoors with catering by Catered Too!, floral designs by Sassy Diva Designs, and music from Last Wave Productions that shifted the energy from elegance to euphoria.
Klara and Sean took to the dance floor for their first dance to Leon Bridges’ “Beyond.” The song didn’t just play. It captured their essence. Romantic, soulful, a little unexpected, yet completely right. Just like them.
The toasts were filled with laughter and light-roasting. The dance floor never emptied. And the cake-cutting was followed by spontaneous shots and dancing that blurred the lines between formal wedding and unforgettable party.
From the Couple
After the wedding, Klara wrote:
Sébastien was a highlight of our wedding experience. Your energy was infectious and made taking portraits fun for the entire family… I said ‘awww’ for a full 20 minutes looking through the photos.
Their kind words meant everything, but even more meaningful was how seamlessly we clicked from the beginning. Klara mentioned that Sean is particular about people, and it meant the world to know that my approach and presence helped him feel comfortable and fully seen.
