Kayla and Mark’s Fall Wedding in Tahoe
When it comes to weddings, I notice a few reoccurring themes. Some are family-focused and fun. Some are big festive parties with friends. Some are epic in their location or decoration. But when you’re able to combine several of these themes, it means it’s going to be a pretty good time. Kayla and Mark’s beautiful fall wedding in Tahoe was one of these amazing weekends. Fun & Perfection for this fall wedding in Tahoe
October in the Mountains might be a bit of a risk weather-wise. Fortunately, this risk totally paid off. The day was sunny, bright and unseasonably warm. Given the outdoor ceremony and dinner reception, the bride and groom and all their guests were very happy. And there’s nothing quite as beautiful as a sunny afternoon in the mountains for a perfect wedding day.
From a Mountaintop
So, I’d never been up a ski-lift outside of actually skiing. But let me tell you; transporting all your guests up to the top of a mountain for a sunset cocktail hour with a 360 degree view before dinner? That was a pretty epic touch. Jumping on the lift for a breath of fresh air while flying amongst the pines with a glass of champagne was the perfect kick-off to the wedding party.
‘Til the Break of Dawn
If you’re planning a wedding, you may be hard-pressed to find a location that allows you to continue the party after 10pm. Fortunately, for this tirelessly festive couple, Kayla and Mark found the perfect location at Sugarbowl. It not only had accommodation for out-of-towners who wanted to crash onsite, but the venue had a perfect dance floor that allowed revelers to continue the fun until the wee hours of the morning. A fantastic way to finish off this awesome celebration.
Congrats to Kayla and Mark – two delightful souls who have since become personal friends. And stay tuned for more on their pre-wedding session at Donner Summit, and their honeymoon shoot in Paris.
