I have two ultimate goals as a wedding photographer: first, I try to provide high quality documentary style photos that accurately reflect the emotion of wedding day. My second goal is to build a close relationship between me and my clients. I’m not talking about faking anything and I’m not saying that we’ll end up being BFF’s. No, I’m talking about honest interest towards people; sharing, listening, caring, being curious, and letting my clients see how passionate I am about my art. People book me because I deliver photos, but the relationships we create are one of the reasons I think I have the best job ever.
Nathalie and Bruno are two people I’ve known since I shot their wedding several years ago. Since then, I’m proud to share several big steps of their life by documenting them with my camera. In addition to covering their wedding, I did their pregnancy shoot, and their family pictures once their son Sam arrived. So when I offered a giveaway on my Instagram for free couple photos, Nathalie told me “I’ve never won anything, but I’ll try for this prize!”. This is how the relationship we’ve built matters – because it moved us from the client/photographer status to just being Nathalie, Bruno and Sebastien. And yes, they won the free session, which we shot in Paris.
These two lovely people show me that life is more beautiful when happiness is shared. They are beautiful inside and out and I’m so pumped to share their unique pictures.
