France Wedding Photographer – Brittany

Maëlle and Jean-Damien are an international nomadic couple from the Brittany in western France. Although they have lived in several countries around the world in the past years, they chose to celebrate their wedding back on their home turf. They tied the knot this past summer surrounded by loved ones, style, and plenty of fun.

Beautiful Breizh

In the North-West corner of France is a unique land of green pastures, stone structures, and wild coastline. Over the course of history, Celtic tribes, British subjects, and Viking warriors have resided there. It is the beautiful and mysterious Breizh – one of my favorite regions in France. And it was the setting for our two lovebirds to celebrate their wedding.

Pre-Wedding Session

We started the weekend of celebrations with a day-before session. I really love it when my couples are able to carve out a little time just before their wedding to meet with me for a shoot. It helps everyone relax and enjoy a moment together before the big day.

Maëlle and JD certainly enjoyed themselves! We had a drink and walk around charming Morlaix. Then we braved the wind along the wild and beautiful coast, and finally ended up amongst the impressive boulders on the beach at Kerlouan.

Chateau Setting

Given that these two are sociable and have tons of friends, it was no surprise that so many of their friends made the trip out to Brittany for the wedding. The morning was spent at the mairie (city hall) as per French wedding tradition, before heading off for the evening celebration. It was held at the Château de Kerouartz; a centuries-old elegant stone castle that made for a romantic reception site.

The party went until the wee hours of the morning, with friends and family celebrating Maëlle, JD, love and a new chapter in their life together.
