A Sun-Filled Engagement Shoot on Baker Beach

Ahhhh, the beach. Who doesn’t love an afternoon on the beach filled with sun, sand, and beautiful people? When looking for San Francisco wedding photography or engagement photo spots, one of my favorites is this rugged bit of coastline in the City. Okay, so it’s not really a private beach. But every time I visit this spot in the City, it’s practically vacant! Don’t get me wrong – I’m not complaining. I would prefer that to a packed out coastal spot. But I’m always pleasantly surprised to find an intimate location with such an iconic background like the Golden Gate. Perfect for setting the right mood for this sweet and sunny engagement session with Shanea and Suneil.

I know there are several places on the San Francisco peninsula coastline that can be surprising and romantically secluded. But for a quick walk from the bustling parts of the city, this is a great option. Especially if you happen to have some unseasonably nice weather as we did on this particular winter afternoon.

Multi-Cultural Couple

Shanea and Suneil are such a fun and easy couple to work with. Look how comfortable they are with each other! It made my job super easy to capture their connection. They even brought along Colby, their four-legged fur baby for part of the session. This made for a great opportunity to document their whole family dynamic.

Apart from their stunning smiles and playful attitudes, I also appreciated getting to know this pair a little more. They are from diverse backgrounds, which brings a rich uniqueness to their couple. An aspect they hope to explore fully for their wedding ceremony later this year. I’m looking forward to their unique multicultural celebration, and I’m sure they are too!
